Amco Locksmiths is Magnus Aller, a locksmith in Perth for 25 years and licensed by WA Police as a security installer (licence 30629). There is no shopfront. Keys are cut in the van, and car keys are programmed where the car is parked.

Most house rekeys take about an hour. Most car key replacements are cut and programmed in about half an hour at the car.

Straight answers
Rekey or replace after moving in?
Usually rekey. We repin the locks you already have so the old keys no longer turn, and only suggest replacing a lock when it’s worn out.
Can you make a car key at my car?
Yes. We cut and program the key where the car is parked, for the Japanese makes, Hyundai, Kia, Ford and Holden, including when every key is lost. Have photo ID ready, plus proof the car is yours, such as the rego papers.
Can you make a key for a European car?
Mostly no. European and Chinese cars we can open without a mark, but we can’t cut keys for them, apart from a Volkswagen spare while you still have a working key. Japanese and Korean brands plus most US built cars, yes: see car key replacement.
What if my digital lock’s battery dies?
Each lock we install has a second way to get in, and we run through it with you before we go.
Do you cover my suburb?
Our core area is the 22 suburbs within about 5 km of Mount Lawley, including the Perth CBD. We take jobs further out across Perth too: call and we’ll tell you honestly when we can get there, or who can.
