Most house rekeys take about an hour. Most car keys are cut and programmed in about half an hour at the car.
No surprises on the day
- Price agreed first. You know the cost before any work starts.
- Repair before replace. We only swap a lock when it’s genuinely worn out.
- Drilling never costs you extra. Should a barrel need drilling, we’ll say so before we start, then fit a new one keyed to your existing key at no cost.
Straight answers
Rekey or replace after moving in?
Usually rekey. We re-pin the locks you already have so the old keys no longer turn, and only suggest replacing a lock when it’s worn out.
Can you make a key for a European car?
No. European and Chinese cars we can open without a mark, but we can’t cut keys for them. Japanese and Korean brands plus most US-built cars, yes.
What if my digital lock’s battery dies?
Each lock we install has a second way to get in, and we run through it with you before we go.
Do you cover my suburb?
Mount Lawley and inner Perth. Further out, call and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can get to you, or who can.
How much does a locksmith cost in Perth?
It depends on the job, how many locks there are and when you need us. We don’t list prices because no two jobs are the same, but we always agree the price with you before we start.
Are you a mobile locksmith?
Yes. Amco is mobile only: we come to you with the van, anywhere across inner Perth and beyond. There’s no shopfront, so keys are cut on site rather than over a counter.
