An Edwardian street grid filled with villas
Como was bought by a farmer in 1891 and subdivided in 1905 as the Como Estate, which gave it an Edwardian street grid. What has happened since is villa, duplex and triplex infill on a scale nothing else nearby matches — more than half the suburb is now attached housing, but only about 15 per cent is true flats. Como is a villa suburb, not a tower suburb.
That shapes every job. A rekey here typically means matching two or three doors plus a garage or store door and a communal letterbox, and working out who holds what. Shared driveways and street-front letterbox rows are the norm, and the most common request is simply to stop carrying four keys for one property.

Can you key my villa and the letterbox to the same key?
Usually. Your own doors can nearly always be matched. A communal letterbox bank may need the other owners or the strata to agree, and we will tell you which applies.
Do I need strata permission to change my villa lock?
For your own front door, usually not — but check, because some schemes do have rules. Shared gates and common areas definitely go through strata.
