Burswood was a sewage filtration site from 1906 to 1934 and light industry from the 1910s. The resort arrived in 1985, the suburb was only gazetted as Burswood in 1993, and Optus Stadium opened in January 2018 — so there is essentially no old hardware in the whole place. No century-old jarrah doors, no original mortice locks. It is modern apartment hardware, and the jobs follow from that.
Two things make Burswood unlike anywhere else we cover. The first is short stay. Can you come to the Optus Stadium car park if I have locked my keys in the car?
Yes. We come to the car rather than the car coming to us, and we open all makes without damage. If the key itself is lost we will tell you straight whether we can cut and program a replacement for your make.
What is the best lock for a short-stay apartment?

Is Optus Stadium in Burswood or East Perth?
Burswood. East Perth connects to it on foot across the Matagarup Bridge, which is why the two get mixed up.
Can you work on my building’s front entry system?
No. We do the door into your apartment, the letterbox and the balcony slider. The building’s entry system is a strata matter.
