Locksmith in Welshpool
Sixteen residents and around seven hundred businesses. This is a commercial page, because Welshpool is a commercial suburb.
Welshpool, Western Australia 6106 is one of Perth’s core industrial precincts — nearly 700 businesses and around 13,000 jobs across roughly eight square kilometres, with a resident population of sixteen. So the customer here is a facility manager, a business owner or a commercial property manager, and the work is roller doors, warehouse personnel doors, office and shopfront locks, and rekeying a tenancy.

Older commercial hardware than anywhere else
Welshpool was established in 1895 and sits at the junction of four arterials — Leach Highway, Orrong Road, Welshpool Road and Roe Highway — which is exactly why it became one of the state’s blue-chip logistics areas. Its three silo complexes storing poultry and agricultural feed are the landmark everyone who works here recognises. Its own railway station closed in November 2023 and was demolished, so it is now entirely road and bus served.
That 1895 date is the practical point. Unlike the newer estates north of the river, a lot of the commercial fabric here is genuinely old — obsolete mortice locks and cylinders, worn frames, doors that have dropped over decades of use. That makes repair-or-replace a real decision rather than a default replacement, and we would rather repair a door that can be saved. The work list is roller shutter and roller door locks, heavy-duty commercial mortice locks, exit and panic hardware, door closers, glass shopfront and office doors, and rekeying when a lease turns over or a staff member leaves.
Two honest notes. Transport and manufacturing run outside nine to five, so a genuine after-hours callout here is a normal part of the job rather than a sales line. And we do not do safes, alarms, CCTV, intercoms, networked access control or toolbox and canopy locks — all of which get asked for on an industrial estate, and two established safe specialists are based in this very precinct. We will point you to them.
A handful of people do live here. If you are one of them, everything on our list applies to your home too — we just do not pretend Welshpool is a residential suburb.

Straight answers
Do you do safes?
No. We do not open, repair or supply safes, and there are two established safe specialists based in Welshpool itself. We will point you to them rather than pretend otherwise.
Can you rekey our unit after an employee left?
Yes — that is one of the most common calls here. We re-pin the existing cylinders on site and hand over the new keys before we go.
Do you come out after hours?
Yes. We run a 24 hour emergency service, and with transport and manufacturing operating at any hour it gets genuine use here. After hours costs more and we agree the price first.
Does Welshpool still have a train station?
No. It closed on 20 November 2023 and was demolished. The area is served by bus and road.
Do you do access control or CCTV?
No. Locks, doors, roller doors, gates and keys only. Alarms, CCTV, intercoms and networked access control are not ours.
