If your front door has a Lockwood 001 deadlatch on it, you already know this brand. Lockwood is part of ASSA ABLOY, and its keyless range is deliberately small: the 001Touch Plus makes the familiar 001 smart, and the 002 Digital DX is a push-button lock with no batteries in it at all.

The upgrade that keeps the door you have
The Lockwood 001 has been the standard Australian front-door deadlatch for decades, which means a huge number of Perth homes already have the right hole in the right place. The 001Touch Plus takes advantage of that: it replaces the 001 you already have, in the same cut-out, and turns it into a lock that opens from the Yale Home app, a keypad, a tag or a key.
That matters for two reasons. The install is usually quick because we are not cutting a new door, and the outside of your house still looks the way it did, which suits character homes where a big black keypad would look wrong.
It also deadlocks and unlocks as you walk up to it, so in practice most people stop touching the lock at all.

Smart, or no batteries at all
Lockwood really gives you one decision to make, which we quite like.
The 001Touch Plus is for a front door where you want codes, an app and the door locking itself behind you. It runs through the Yale Home app, since both brands sit under ASSA ABLOY, and it is tested to AS4145, the Australian lock standard.
The 002 Digital DX is for a door where you want keyless entry and nothing else to think about. It is mechanical, so there is no app, no batteries and no updates, and there are versions for doors that open outwards.
Both go into a standard deadlatch cut-out on most doors. Send us a photo of your current lock and we will tell you whether yours is one of them.
No surprises on the day

Help with your Lockwood lock
How do I change the code on a Lockwood lock?
The 001Touch Plus and the Digital DX are both programmed from the keypad with the master code. If you have just moved in, change the master code before anything else. If you have lost the master code or the lock was installed by someone else and never handed over properly, we can come and reset it.
The batteries are flat. How do I get in?
You still get in. Every Lockwood lock we fit keeps a second way in — on most models that is a key, and on some you can hold a nine volt battery against the contacts on the front to wake the lock up long enough to enter your code. Then change the batteries: AA alkaline cells. On a 001Touch Plus the deadlatch underneath is the original Lockwood 001, so the mechanical side is familiar.
Where do I find the manual?
The manufacturer publishes them on lockweb.com.au. If the model number has worn off the lock, send us a photo of it and we will tell you which model you have.
The keypad has stopped responding. What now?
Nine times out of ten it is the batteries, even when the lock has not warned you — cold mornings and cheap cells both shorten their life. Replace them with fresh alkaline cells first. If it still will not respond, use the backup key to get in and call us; we service these rather than automatically replacing them.
Can I get into the app from away from the house?
Lockwood’s connected models run in the Yale Home app, since both brands sit under the same group.
Can you fix a Lockwood lock you did not install?
Yes. We work on Lockwood locks whoever fitted them, including ones bought at a shop and installed by the homeowner. Send us a photo of the lock and tell us what it is doing.

Usually, yes. It suits most deadlatches with a 60 mm backset, which is the common Australian setup, so the install is normally straightforward. We confirm from a photo of the door edge before ordering.
Which app does Lockwood use?
The Yale Home app. Lockwood and Yale are both part of ASSA ABLOY, so they share the same app.
Does the 002 Digital DX need power?
No. It is entirely mechanical, so there are no batteries and nothing to recharge. You enter a code on the buttons and the door opens.
Is Lockwood made to an Australian standard?
