We supply and fit window locks, letterbox locks and padlocks for gates, sheds and toolsheds, across Perth, Western Australia. Most of it can be keyed to the key you already carry, so you are not adding another one to the ring. It is usually worth doing while we are there for something bigger.

The locks people forget
Window locks
In Western Australia a landlord has to provide locks that make a rental reasonably secure, and that includes windows — Consumer Protection Western Australia sets out what applies. For owners it is simpler than that: a sliding window that only has a latch is the easiest way into a house, and a proper window lock costs very little. We fit locks for sliding aluminium windows, double-hung timber windows and window restrictors where children are a concern.
Letterbox locks
An unlocked letterbox is a stack of mail with your name, your address and sometimes your bank on it. Replacing a letterbox lock is a small job and we can usually key it to your house key so it is one key, not two. For unit blocks, letterbox banks are the one master-keyed system we do: a common key for the bank and individual keys for the boxes.
Padlocks
Side gates, sheds, garages, gates on a trailer, a storage cage. The difference between a cheap padlock and a decent one is mostly the shackle and whether the body is weatherproof, which matters in a Perth summer. We supply and fit them, and we can key several to the same key so one key opens the gate, the shed and the garage.
Keyed to the key you already have
This is the part worth asking for. Rather than collecting a separate key for every small lock, most of them can be keyed alike to your existing house key. We will tell you what your key profile allows before we start.
Services we don’t offer
Alarms, cameras, intercoms, networked access control, safes, and canopy or toolbox locks. We can recommend someone who does them.

Can you put a lock on my windows?
Yes. We fit locks for sliding aluminium windows and double-hung timber windows, and restrictors where you want a window to open only part way.
Does a rental have to have window locks?
Consumer Protection Western Australia sets out minimum security requirements a landlord must meet, and locks on windows form part of that. If you are unsure whether a property complies we can go through it with you.
Can the letterbox use my house key?
Usually yes. Keying the letterbox to your existing key is a small job and saves carrying a second key.

Yes. Letterbox banks in unit blocks are the one master-keyed job we do — a common key for the bank, individual keys for the boxes. We do not do master key systems for doors.
Can several padlocks use one key?
Yes. We can key the side gate, the shed and the garage padlock alike so one key opens them all.
Are these worth doing on their own?
Usually they are worth adding while we are already there for a rekey or a repair, which saves a second visit. If it is only a letterbox, tell us and we will be honest about whether it is worth a trip.
